Day 1: Arrival in Amman

• Arrive in Amman early in the morning.

• Transfer to the hotel in Amman (1-hour drive).

 

Day 2: Mt. Nebo, Mukawir & Madaba

• Enjoy a leisurely morning with a late breakfast.

• Travel to Mt. Nebo (45 minutes) to visit the memorial of Moses.

• Continue to Mukawir (1-hour drive) to explore the fortress of Machaerus, the site of John the Baptist’s beheading.

• Head to Madaba (45-minute drive) and enjoy a South Asian buffet lunch.

• Visit St. George Church to admire the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem.

• Return to the hotel in Amman (45 minutes).

Day 3: Crossing into Israel – Jericho, Baptism Site & Dead Sea

• Depart for Allenby Bridge (King Hussein Bridge) border crossing at 7:30 AM (1-hour drive).

• Cross into Israel at 10:30 AM.

• Visit Qasr Al Yahud, the site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.

• Explore Jericho, the world’s lowest and one of the oldest cities, including a visit to the Sycamore Tree and Zacchaeus’ House.

• Ascend Mt. Temptation by cable car.

• Enjoy an open buffet lunch.

• Relax and float in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea.

• Transfer to Bethlehem (1 hour 15 minutes, requires checkpoint crossing).

• Mass location: Jericho.

 

Day 4: Mt. Olives, Gethsemane, Mt. Zion & Bethlehem

• Travel to Jerusalem (1-hour drive, checkpoint crossing required).

• Visit the Western Wall and enjoy a view of the Dome of the Rock.

• Have an open buffet lunch.

• Travel to Ein Karem (25 minutes) to visit the Church of John the Baptist.
