ITINERARY

​​DAY 1: DISCOVER OSAKA

​

  • Begin your journey in Osaka, Japan's vibrant second-largest city. Explore iconic landmarks like Osaka Castle and the bustling streets of Dotonbori. Savor local delicacies such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki.

​​DAY 2: DAY TRIP TO HIMEJI

​

  • Take a day trip to Himeji to marvel at the magnificent Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and visit Mount Shosha, known for its scenic beauty and the historic Engyoji Temple.

​

DAY 3: TRAVEL TO KINOSAKI ONSEN

​

  • Board a limited express train from Osaka to Kinosaki, a charming hot spring town. Stroll through its picturesque streets, indulge in onsen hopping, and experience a traditional ryokan stay.

 

DAY 4: KINOSAKI TO KYOTO VIA AMANOHASHIDATE

​

  • From Kinosaki, journey to Amanohashidate, one of Japan's top three scenic views, offering breathtaking landscapes. Alternatively, stop by rural Miyama to admire its traditional thatched-roof farmhouses. Continue your trip to Kyoto in the evening.

DAY 5-6: EXPLORE KYOTO

 

  • Immerse yourself in Kyoto's rich history and culture over two days. Visit iconic sites like Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Fushimi Inari Taisha, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and the historic Gion district. Tailor your visit with a suggested itinerary to maximize your experience.

 

DAY 7: KYOTO TO NARA

 

  • Travel to Nara, Japan's first permanent capital, known for its cultural treasures. Visit Todai-ji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and Nara Park, home to friendly, free-roaming deer. Stay overnight in Nara.

 

DAY 8: NARA TO ISE (VIA IGA UENO)

  • Depart Nara for Ise, renowned for the sacred Ise Grand Shrines, central to Shinto belief. En route, consider stopping at Iga Ueno to explore its ninja museum and learn about Japan’s historical ninjas.

 

DAY 9: ISE TO KUMANO

  • Head to the Kumano region, situated in the southern Kii Peninsula. Enjoy the scenic train ride and prepare to uncover the area's ancient pilgrimage sites and serene natural beauty.

 

DAY 10: EXPLORE KUMANO

 

  • Spend the day exploring Kumano's spiritual and historic highlights, including the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trails and sacred shrines like Kumano Nachi Taisha and its stunning waterfall.

 

DAY 11: KUMANO TO MOUNT KOYA

  • Rise early and travel to Mount Koya, the spiritual heart of Shingon Buddhism. Experience a serene overnight stay at a temple lodging (shukubo), partake in morning prayers, and savor traditional vegetarian cuisine (shojin ryori).

 

DAY 12: RETURN TO OSAKA

 

  • Conclude your journey by returning to Osaka. Spend your final moments shopping at Namba or exploring Umeda before departing for home or your next destination.
